How rsrvi works.

Two sides, one ledger. Organizers find venues for events that matter; hosts list spaces they want shared with care. Money sits in Stripe escrow until the event clears. That’s the entire arrangement — everything below is detail.

For organizers.

You book a venue the same way you’d book a table at a restaurant — pick the date, propose the window, the host says yes or no, you pay, you show up.

  1. Search

Filter by date, city, capacity, and price. Every venue carries a cancellation policy that’s shown before you commit.

  2. Request

Send a booking request with your exact start and end times. The host receives it instantly and has a working day to reply. Hosts who respond inside an hour appear on the listing as “typically responds quickly.”

  3. Pay

On acceptance, you check out through Stripe. Total and fees are shown line-by-line on the receipt. Card details never touch our servers.

  4. Use the space

Funds clear to the host the morning after your event end-time plus a short grace window. Refunds (per your policy) are processed back to the original card.

For hosts.

List once. Decide which booking requests to accept. Get paid the morning after each event clears. We never touch your bank account — payouts go directly from Stripe.

  1. List

Upload photos, set your hourly or per-event rate, choose a cancellation policy, mark blackout dates. An admin reviews new listings before they go public.

  2. Connect Stripe

Verify your identity and bank account through Stripe Connect. Bookings cannot be accepted until this is complete — it’s the door we lock behind every payout.

  3. Accept

Review each booking request and accept or decline within a working day. Communication, calendar, and payouts all stay on the platform.

  4. Get paid

Funds settle to your Stripe account the morning after the event end-time, less the platform fee. Reports and tax documents are generated by Stripe at year end.

The money, plainly.

We use a model called “separate charges and transfers” — the dry name for a pattern you’d recognise as escrow.

Buyer pays

Stripe charges the buyer’s card on acceptance. Funds land in our platform balance, not the host’s account.

Funds rest

The platform holds the balance until the event end-time plus a short grace window. Refunds (per policy) are processed from here.

Host settles

The morning after the event clears, Stripe transfers the host’s share (total minus platform fee) to their Connect account.

We don’t see your bank details. We never hold your funds. Stripe is the merchant of record for card processing; rsrvi is the marketplace operator.

Safety, policies, support.

Verified hosts

Hosts must complete Stripe Connect identity verification before any booking can be accepted. The check covers ID, address, and bank-account ownership.

Cancellation

Each venue chooses Flexible, Moderate, or Strict. Full terms in the refund policy.

Disputes

If a booking goes wrong — venue mis-described, host no-show, damage — either party can open a dispute. Funds pause until it’s resolved.

Support

Reach support through the contact page. We respond within one business day.
